4. Transfiguration (Thursday)
While he was still speaking, a cloud came and cast a shadow
over them, and they became frightened when they entered the
cloud. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This
is my chosen Son; listen to him." [Luke
9:34-35]
The mystery of light par excellence is the Transfiguration,
traditionally believed to have taken place on Mount Tabor. The
glory of the Godhead shines forth from the face of Christ as
the Father commands the astonished apostles to “listen
to him” and to prepare to experience with him the agony
of the Passion, so as to come with him to the joy of the Resurrection
and a life transfigured by the Holy Spirit.
(on the large bead, and the others throughout the Rosary,
we recite the Our Father ) Our Father,
who art in heaven,...
(on each of the small beads of the decades of the Rosary,
we recite the Hail Mary ) Hail Mary, full
of grace,..... - (10x)
(at the end of each decade, we recite the Glory be to the Father)
Glory be to the Father,...
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of
hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who have most
need of your mercy.
A Short Hymn
Be with us Mary, along the way.,
Guide every step we take,
Lead, us to Jesus, your loving Son,
Come with us Mary Come.
