5. First Eucharist (Thursday)
"I give you a new commandment: love one another. As
I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This
is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for one another." [Jn 13:34-35]
A final mystery of light is the institution of the Eucharist,
in which Christ offers his body and blood as food under the
signs of bread and wine, and testifies "to the end"
his love for humanity, for whose salvation he will offer himself
in sacrifice.
(on the large bead, and the others throughout the Rosary,
we recite the Our Father ) Our Father,
who art in heaven,...
(on each of the small beads of the decades of the Rosary,
we recite the Hail Mary ) Hail Mary, full
of grace,..... - (10x)
(at the end of each decade, we recite the Glory be to the Father)
Glory be to the Father,...
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of
hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who have most
need of your mercy.
A Short Hymn
Be with us Mary; along the way.,
Guide every step we take,
Lead, us to Jesus; your loving Son.,
Come with us Mary Come.
