A Festival of Blessings

I have been in America for the last 19 years. My wife Celine and I were childless for 12 years. All possible medication, two operations, expert medical advice - everything proved   futile. Doctors could not find the reason why my wife was unable to conceive.

At this time my kinsfolk sent me copies of Vachanolsavam magazine. Reading about the miracles and the gift of children to childless parents filled us with surprise and hope. We believed nothing was impossible to God. After six months of reading Vachanolsavam, we stopped all medication, went to India and made a retreat at Divine Retreat Centre along with my relatives. We prayed not only for ourselves but for others also. "Jesus is blessing six childless couples," announced the priest during the Praise and Worship.

One month after we were back in America, my wife conceived. In two months time she suffered severe bleeding. The Lord healed her mercifully in a fortnight. In her seventh month she met with a bad car accident. The car she was driving was damaged but she was unharmed. The baby was born one month ahead of time. But medication and intense prayer saved it from further mishap. We named the little boy "Divine."
