The Spirit Moves Over Australia

"All things work together for good for those who love God'' (Rom 8:28)

This a testimony about the inner peace and the physical healing I have received from my Lord when I visited the holy place-The Muringoor Divine Retreat Centre on May 2nd in 1993.

I am a married person with family living in Australia. In 1991 October 2nd my sister expired in Kerala. After 55 days in 1991, November 25th ,our only son suddenly passed away in an accident. This was the darkest moment in my life. Though God had prepared us with faith ( attending regular Sunday Mass, daily family prayer, attending novenas, prayer meetings etc), many times I asked the Lord the same question. Why??? Deep despair over-whelmed me. In the meantime I got shoulder pain. I could not lift my right arm. I also had weakness in my right leg. Without any warning while I was driving, the right leg used to give way, having no strength to accelerate or stop the car. I went to a few different specialists and had a few x-rays taken but nothing was revealed in them.

Among all these physical problems, I had the greatest urge to be away from these earthly things and to be with God and pray to God for peace. In this state I met my friend Lilly Mammen and she mentioned Potta and suggested that I visit this prayer centre. After one year and a half I visited Kerala. On May 2nd 1993, I went to Divine Centre for a retreat with my Aunty who had a stomach problem and my younger sister who had asthma trouble! The atmosphere there was very different from that of usual prayer meetings. People always praising and thanking God! The whole of that week I did not pray for myself but prayed for all the people who were present there and for many others. But I felt extremely peaceful in mind and heart.

On the seventh morning during the last session, which was the Holy Mass, I felt something like an electric shock on different parts of my body as if someone were prodding me wherever I had pain and weakness. I saw the Sacred Host in the size of a full moon extremely bright and shining which the human eye can't envisage. But at that time I did not realise that the good LORD was healing me. Again for the 2nd time I went to Muringoor for a week's retreat with my family in 1996 December. We all had the divine touch of the Holy Spirit. I could not witness any extraordinary phenomenon. But by God's grace when Fr Mathew Naikamparambil's team came to Australia in Oct. 1998, I had the opportunity to witness to the people in Melbourne. Thank you Jesus. Praise the Lord.
